How often should a pool be serviced?
Through the season (spring to autumn) weekly maintenance is ideal: measuring the water values, dosing, surface and floor cleaning and filter checks. Frequency may rise in heavy use or hot spells. In winter the pool is protected with a reduced but regular programme.
What should the pool's pH and chlorine levels be?
The ideal ranges are 7.2–7.6 for pH, 1–3 ppm for free chlorine and 80–120 ppm for total alkalinity. These values directly affect water clarity, skin and eye comfort and equipment life. We measure and rebalance them on every visit.
How is a pool maintained in winter?
When preparing a pool for winter the water level is set, the values are balanced, a winter chemical is applied and the plumbing is protected against freezing. The water is not fully drained; a cover and periodic checks ensure a healthy spring opening.

Why does pool water turn cloudy or green?
The most common causes are unbalanced pH/chlorine, weak filtration and algae growth. In hot weather chlorine is consumed quickly and algae multiply. With the right dosing, regular filter cleaning and, when needed, shock chlorination the water returns to clarity within a few days.
How often should all the water be replaced?
In a well-maintained pool a full water change is rarely needed — usually once every few years, or when the values can no longer be corrected chemically. Regular maintenance markedly reduces water use and cost.
