Gemaş 2" Vacuum Head
Manual cleaning
The Gemaş vacuum head, with its 2-inch connection, manually collects dirt and sediment from the pool floor.
Not sold onlineThe Gemaş pool vacuum head mounts on the end of a telescopic pole and collects the sand, dust and settled organic debris on the pool floor. It does not generate suction itself: it is connected by hose to the skimmer throat or to the wall vacuum fitting, and the circulation pump runs while you vacuum. The debris travels straight to the filter, so sediment resting on the bottom leaves the pool without clouding the water.
Before you start, the air inside the hose must be purged: hold the hose under water until it fills completely, otherwise the pump draws air and suction is lost. Draw the head slowly along the floor in overlapping strips; moving quickly puts the sediment back into suspension and clouds the water. Vacuuming is usually done after the walls have been brushed and the loosened debris has settled. When you finish, check the filter pressure and backwash if needed.
Connection size matters: this 2-inch head is used with a vacuum hose of the matching size, as different diameters will not seal together without an adapter. Its bristle and wheel arrangement is made for floor cleaning and does not replace a surface skimmer net or a wall brush.
