Quardex 90% Granular Chlorine

Quardex 90% granular chlorine is a powder product whose high active chlorine content delivers strong disinfection in a short time. It is particularly useful for shock chlorination: after heavy bather load, after prolonged rain or a storm, when the water turns green, or when cloudiness will not clear, the water needs a short, high chlorine load. In routine maintenance it can also be used in measured doses to hold free chlorine in the 1-3 ppm band.

Granules are always dissolved in clean water in a separate bucket and fed into the pool diluted; scattering them dry over the floor can bleach the lining and leave stains. Shock chlorination is done in the evening, filtration is run through the night, and no one enters the pool until free chlorine is back in its normal range. Testing the water beforehand, setting the dose from the label, and keeping the stabiliser (cyanuric acid) level in the 30-50 ppm band all have a direct effect on the outcome.

It is available in 10 kg and 25 kg packs. Store the product in a dry, cool, ventilated place, apart from acids and other chemicals; it must never be combined with another chemical in the same container.
